The claim is shaky. Here is what I could verify.

Messi’s farewell match hasn’t been played yet

. Messi’s 208th and final Argentina match is set for Tuesday,

Oct. 6, 2026, against Benin at Estadio Monumental in Buenos Aires.

Today is Oct. 3, so no attendance has been recorded.

The “85,000” in the graphic matches the stadium’s capacity,

which is over 85,000 seats. It looks like a capacity figure, not an actual crowd count.

The “OFFICIAL” label doesn’t hold up. The post from Winna F.C.

the account whose logo is on your graphic, uses that word.

I found no announcement from AFA, FIFA or any other governing body.

A sold-out stadium’s capacity is being compared with a Super Bowl crowd that has already happened.

The Super Bowl figure. The graphic says 70,000.

My search didn’t return a confirmed attendance for Super Bowl LX,

so I can’t check it. Super Bowl crowds are usually around that level,

but it should be checked against an official source.

“Biggest sporting event of 2026” is a stretch.

The 2026 World Cup drew 6,810,966 fans in total,

and the final alone had 80,663 at MetLife Stadium.

Even Messi’s farewell at full capacity would only slightly exceed that single match.

It also wouldn’t be bigger than the tournament, or a World Cup final that fans around the world watched on TV.

What is true. Tickets for the farewell are expected to be in huge demand,

and a full Monumental would be one of the largest crowds of the year.

Strictly, the claim could mean “biggest stadium crowd of 2026 for a single match”,

but that depends on the other events and is unconfirmed.

If you plan to repost this, a safer wording would be:

“Messi’s farewell at the 85,000-capacity Monumental is set to be

one of the biggest crowds of 2026.” After the match on Oct.

6, I can look up the real attendance and compare it properly.
